Can You Cure A Sinus Infection Without Using Antibiotics?
The quick and easy way to fight off an infection, naturally!
A few weeks ago, my dear friend and flower essence alchemist Heather Radke, turned me on to this two-day immune boosting protocol. I was very intrigued! It included two days of high doses of Vitamin A and Vitamin D. I was aware of the benefits of taking high dose Vitamin D, but had never heard of taking them both together. She swore by it! She also said it's safe for all ages! Now she really had my attention. This past Sunday, Mother’s Day, I woke up and knew a sinus infection was starting. Allergies have been so bad this year. I had really bad pressure, a slight headache and very foggy, like my head was in a bubble. Getting sick is never good, especially during a Pandemic and when you’re getting ready to open a new medical office. I was determined to beat this fast and not use antibiotics.
I immediately remembered the two-day protocol and set out on a mission to get the supplements and see if this protocol actually worked. I went to Whole Foods and picked up Vitamin D3 5,000 IU and Vitamin A 10,000 IU (in the form of Retinol Palmitate, very important it’s this type). I wish they had larger doses available because I was going to have to swallow a lot of pills but, they are pretty small. The pic for this blog is one that I took of all the pills I had to swallow! It was A LOT!
I went home and had dinner. I always take my vitamins with food, especially A and D because they are both fat soluble. Then I began to count out my pills to get the correct dose. I needed to take Vitamin D3 50,000 IU and Vitamin A 400,000 IU. Yes, you read it right, four with five zeros after it! I got them all down with lots of water and waited for the magic to happen…. I was super exhausted from the busy day so I went to bed in hopes I would feel better in the morning.
I woke up Monday morning and I did feel better!!! I was shocked. I was in no way out of the clear yet and did a Neti Pot with some probiotic to help heal my sinuses, but I was about 65% better. By the time I took my second dose of the vitamins that night I felt about 85% better. When I woke up Tuesday morning, I was 100%! I was so happy it worked. I had fought off a sinus infection without the use of antibiotics, which totally mess up my gut!
Have you ever tried something like this before?
This protocol should not be done more than once a month and you should always consult with your medical provider before taking supplements. Cheers to the Vitamin A & D combo!
With Gratitude, Trust, Love and Abundance,
Jaclyn
